On Friday, 20 June 2025, the GreenMuseumHub cordially invites you to the Tea & Coffee Lecture with Stefanie Dowidat, certified transformation manager for sustainable museums and experienced exhibition designer. She will present the recently published guide ‘Sustainable Exhibitions’, which was published by the Baden-Württemberg State Office for Museums.
The presentation will introduce both the guide and its complementary tool, the evaluation matrix - a digital self-assessment system that enables museums to systematically evaluate and quantify the sustainability of their exhibition practice in all project phases.

On Friday, 2 May 2025, the GreenMuseumHub warmly invites you to a Tea & Coffee Lecture with Lars Petersen from the Baden State Museum Karlsruhe.
The lecture addresses the crucial question of how to effectively engage teams, institutions and audiences in sustainable thinking and action. While sustainability and climate issues have gained visibility, the challenge is to motivate lasting and widespread behaviour change. Together we will explore possible strategies and share experiences of successfully involving different stakeholders in museums and beyond.

In her presentation, Sina Hermann will discuss the latest steps taken by the German Museums Association towards sustainable practices. Topics include the climate protection guide, minimum standards for museums, recommendations for the establishment of a climate corridor and plans for a forthcoming certification programme for sustainable museums, which is expected to be introduced by the end of next year.
